The Autumn of Knowledge - New (and old) Music
Other people’s music, that is.
I used to make mixes all the time when I was in college. The track list usually contained a solid mix of Gettin’ Jiggy With It, Motown, and and other Jock-Jams Favorites - I was pretty much the star of the dance party. And then people started getting Ipods - which I still don’t believe in - and they took over. The mix, which used to take hours to...
This bottle of alcohol led to some very poor decisions last night…
And by poor, I mean excellent.
There may or may not be a fully-produced song about our experiences - you can ask me about it if you want.
Are you more LAX?
or more die?
Are you trying to go to McDonald’s right now?

Thankfully, this map exits. Now people will always be able to find their favorite fast-food restaurant. Personally (because I’m a good person), I prefer BK. But they don’t have a map so it...
Top 1 Reasons why someone wouldn’t watch Glee:
1. He or She is a clown with few friends and fewer morals.

The Autumn of Knowledge - Foreign Colloquialisms
Lagom - Swedish for “just enough.” Unlike the idea that “just enough” means “it’ll do”—which suggests some sort of lacking— lagom expresses that there is something that is “just right.” It is the perfect amount or size, no more, no less. It would be great to stock shelves of Ikea with this word, which suggests that there is a happy,...
Those gosh-darn Ukrainian Sand artists...
this is actually pretty amazing.
Which to destroy: New Jersey or Connecticut?
After such a great weekend in the Garden State - and because I can only choose one - I think I’m leaning towards Connecticut. It was very close, though, considering all the traffic I got stuck in as I made my way up the NJ Turnpike to Rutgers late Friday night AND on our way up to New York City (note: not “The” City) on Saturday night.
It was great to hang out with Bobby and...

Thank God I wasn't single in 1982. →

So I'm working on a new project.
(or, my first real-person tumblr post)
I’m sure the summer weather was a part of it, but up until yesterday, I’d been struggling to find the inspiration and time to compose - I needed something new to clear my mind. On the recommendation of my music composition professor, I spent all of last week listening to and studying the choral works of Morten Lauridsen. This man, my friends,...
(9:30 PM) Hello, my name is Chuckie, how can I...
Me: (thinking his name is obviously not Chuckie) Hello, yes, my computer's microphone is having an issue. Whenever I use skype, gchat, or even the voice recorder, it doesn't come out quite right. It's not echo-y, it's not tinny, it's doesn't have any of the other symptoms you mention on your website. It's just when ever I use it, it comes out super high-pitched and the person on the other end hears me as if I am a 12 year old boy. Or girl.

Me: Wait, what?

Menru is a fictionalized Japanese travel reporter (me), wandering through our beautiful country on a quest for the “real” America. He’s encountered many hardships along his path, but at every stop he is reminded that there is good in each and every one of us. Thanks for reminding me, Allie.

Going green is so damn hip right now that it can get annoying. It’s nice to see that there are some actual great ideas out there.
The Autumn of Knowledge (and pumpkin everything)
Yesterday was our first Friday of Cultural Literacy Through Film. And Reading. This is part of a themed, year-long concept developed by myself and Flounder to better ourselves through goal setting. More to come in the future, but here’s a general idea:
The Summer of Uncomfortable
The Autumn of Knowledge (and pumpkin everything)
The Winter of Creativity and post-racial, post-gender...
How European!
Speaking of anthropomorphizing, I dig these bedside tables by Merry. They’re from Spain, and that’s different than America!
Top 1 Reasons why I don’t buy Doritos:
1. They are fucking delicious.
Community theater is the new black.
